Di Magic, the Highest Priced Horse, Sold to Monaco

Vechta. The top priced horse at the 75th Elite Auction named Di Magic by Dimaggio-Rohdiamant was sold at the Oldenburg Horse Center Vechta for 240,000 Euros to Monaco’s best dressage rider, Bernadette Brune. This regular customer of many years standing at the Oldenburg auctions is now in possession of an awesome, licensed, black stallion bred by Christian Niemann from Halen and exhibited by Andreas Wempe from Cappeln that is predestined to become a crown jewel for her career in the dressage ring. The second highest priced horse, a mare named Tausendundeine Nacht by Don Schufro-Rubinstein, bred by Heinrich Themann from Mühlen, who sold for 160,000 Euros, will be off to the other side of the globe. The brilliant black mare will be exported to the stables of another regular auction customer in Australia. 18 auction horses will now give their riders joy beyond the borders of Germany. The largest number of these were purchased by customers from Russia and Switzerland with four each.
The customers from Switzerland especially showed great interest in the show jumpers in the Elite Collection. Their determination to prevail in the competition of bids was described by Uwe Heckmann, the auctioneer, as “a breakthrough for the two Oldenburg breeding societies in the show jumper market with their small number but excellent quality show jumpers”. Three of the elite show jumpers were sold to Switzerland, including N’oubliez jamais by Nintender-Calido, bred by the internationally successful show jumping rider, Jürgen Ernst from Essel. This licensed and performance tested stallion was knocked-down to the Lee AG Training Center in Wittenbach/Switzerland for 150,000 Euros. Wanda Wespe and Ariane Muff will be presenting these Oldenburg’s in sport in the future. These two young ladies also purchased the second highest priced show jumper, a mare named Noblesse Oranje by Nintender-Argentinus, bred by Manfred and Britta Langelüddeke from Valberg for 80,000 Euros.
All in all, the 45 riding horses at the 75th Elite Auction at the Oldenburg Horse Center Vechta achieved revenues of 1,810,500 Euros and thus an average price of 40,233 Euros.
The Elite Foal collection in this fall’s auction held in the Oldenburg Horse Center Vechta contained 42 youngsters that achieved a total of 413,500 Euros. The average price was 9,845 Euros. The highest offer, a bid of 25,000 Euros for a colt named Dans d’Ecole by Danone I-Welt Hit II, bred by Olaf Bahls from Voigtsdorf, came from Rhineland-Pfalz. The dressage rider Ulf König purchased this strong moving chestnut colt.
