Highly Controversial Discussion Round Concerning the Stallion Licensing

“Quo vadis – Are we licensing the wrong stallions?” is the subject of an interesting discussion round that is already excitedly awaited in Vechta. We cordially invite all interested media representatives and listeners to the Oldenburg Horse Center on October 11, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. The event will be held by the  Akademie für Pferdemanagement 2011 [Academy of Horse Management 2011] which is organized by the faculty of agriculture at the Georg-August University of Göttingen, Osnabrück College as well as the University of Vechta. A highly significant subject for breeders will be illuminated and considered from the most various angles.

The discussion will be especially controversial because Oldenburg’s Breeding Director, Dr. Wolfgang Schulze-Schleppinghoff, will present a new licensing model  to the public for the first time. Afterward there will be a discussion with representatives of German Verbands.  Prominent guests such as Dr. Thomas Nissen, Breeding Director and General Manager of the Holstein Verband, Lars Gehrmann, Breeding Director and General Manager of the Trakehner Verband, Dr. Ludwig Christmann as envoy of the Hanoverian Verband  and Klaus Roeser, Manager of PST Paul Schockemöhle Marketing GmbH will be among the expert discussion partners during the evening. The auctioneer, Uwe Heckmann, will personally moderate the event.

The often passionate discussion concerning the stallion licensing system will be given a public stage with the most experienced professionals in Germany to illuminate the subject. Everyone interested in participating in the discussion or just listening is most welcome to follow this exciting evening, live in Vechta.
